Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the Continental ID dashboard, related sign-in flows, public profile pages, and the hosted service built from this repository.

Accounts

Eligibility and account responsibility

  • You are responsible for the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, passkeys, backup codes, and other account credentials.
  • You must not share an account in a way that misrepresents identity or bypasses built-in security controls.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless caused by the operator's own breach of these terms or applicable law.

Use

Acceptable use

  • You must not use the service to violate law or the rights of others.
  • You must not attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, abuse protections, or session controls.
  • You must not interfere with the service, submit malicious code, or use automation in a way that materially harms availability or integrity.
  • You must not provide fraudulent identity information or use the service to impersonate another person or organization.

Profile Data

User content and public information

  • You remain responsible for profile information, linked identities, and other data you choose to submit.
  • You grant the service a limited right to host, process, transmit, and display that information only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the product.
  • If you choose to make profile details public, those details may be visible to visitors according to your visibility settings.

Enforcement

Security controls, suspension, and termination

  • The service may use login throttling, suspicious-activity review, session revocation, passkey enforcement, and similar controls to protect accounts and infrastructure.
  • Access may be limited, suspended, or terminated when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service, enforce these terms, or comply with legal obligations.
  • You may stop using the service at any time, and account deletion tools may be available from within the dashboard.

Dependencies

Third-party services

  • The service may depend on hosting providers, email delivery services, OAuth identity providers, and passkey-related platform services.
  • Third-party availability or policy changes may affect your ability to use some features.
  • When you connect an external provider, your use of that provider remains subject to its own terms and privacy practices.

Disclaimers

Service availability and warranties

  • The service and repository are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, or fit for a particular purpose.

Liability

Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
  • That includes loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, and business interruption arising from or related to use of the service or repository.
